CPAP is pleased to announce that Dr. Kristi Wright is the recipient of the 2025 Dr. Rhonda Matters Memorial Award.
With exceptional professionalism, integrity and compassion, Dr. Wright has led the Psychology Association of Saskatchewan (PAS), from conception, as president for the past 13 years. Beyond the PAS, Dr. Wright has mentored numerous undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Regina, holding the Director of Clinical Training position in addition to her position as a Professor and Clinical Psychology Graduate Program Coordinator. She has conducted exceptional research in her field that has contributed to the knowledge and understanding of childhood psychopathology, health anxiety, and preoperative anxiety.
Dr. Wright is an exceptional leader, who is committed to advocating for the profession of psychology within her community, but also has extensive advocacy efforts to her province, her country, and internationally through her volunteerism and research.
CPAP would like to thank Dr. Regan Hart and Kerry Spice for nominating Dr. Wright and highlighting her
long-term involvement and engagement in numerous facets of Psychology.
Dr. Wright received a gift of a painting presented to her by Kerry Spice (PAS).

La CPAP est heureuse d’annoncer que la Dre Kristi Wright est la lauréate du Prix commémoratif Dr Rhonda Matters 2025.
Faisant preuve d’un professionnalisme, d’une intégrité et d’une compassion exceptionnels, la Dre Wright a dirigé l’Association de psychologie de la Saskatchewan (PAS) depuis sa création, en tant que présidente au cours des 13 dernières années. Au-delà de la PAS, la Dre Wright a encadré de nombreux étudiants de premier cycle et de cycles supérieurs à l’Université de Regina, occupant le poste de directrice de la formation clinique en plus de ses fonctions de professeure et de coordonnatrice du programme d’études supérieures en psychologie clinique. Elle a mené des recherches exceptionnelles dans son domaine qui ont contribué à l’avancement des connaissances et à la compréhension de la psychopathologie infantile, de l’anxiété liée à la santé et de l’anxiété préopératoire.
La Dre Wright est une leader exceptionnelle, qui s’engage à défendre la profession de psychologue au sein de sa communauté, mais qui déploie également d’importants efforts de promotion au niveau de sa province, de son pays et à l’échelle internationale par le biais de son bénévolat et de ses recherches.
La CPAP tient à remercier la Dre Regan Hart et Kerry Spice d’avoir proposé la candidature de la Dre Wright et d’avoir souligné son engagement de longue date dans de nombreux aspects de la psychologie.
La Dre Wright a reçu en cadeau un tableau qui lui a été remis par Kerry Spice (PAS).
